Continuing the Journey: Why We Keep Creating Little Champions
Share
When we first started working on Little Champions, it wasn’t just about making a comic book — it was about telling a story that felt real. A story where kids could see themselves not as superheroes from another planet, but as everyday kids facing real challenges, chasing dreams, and discovering their own strength.
After the release of Volume 1, something amazing happened. We began hearing from readers — kids, parents, coaches — who shared how much the characters resonated with them. How Mia, Leo, and Noah felt like kids they knew. How the journey into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu mirrored so many of their own struggles and hopes. Those messages reminded us why we started this project in the first place.
Creating comics is not easy.
Behind every panel is late-night brainstorming, pages of sketches, countless revisions, doubts, and tiny bursts of triumph. Sometimes the journey feels overwhelming — but every time we sit down to draw or write, we are reminded: this matters. These characters matter. Their story matters.
And so, we continue.
We continue because there's more story to tell.
We continue because kids need to see that courage isn't about being invincible — it's about showing up, even when you're scared.
We continue because Little Champions is about growing, falling, getting back up, and believing in yourself — the way we believe in the kids (and adults) who find a piece of themselves in these pages.
Right now, we’re deep into creating the next part of the journey. New sketches are filling the studio, fresh scenes are coming to life, and the heart of the story is growing bigger and stronger with every page.
Thank you for walking this path with us. For reading, supporting, and believing.
We can't wait to share what’s next.
The journey is just beginning. ❤️
